No matter how advanced society becomes or how much the economy thrives, it is evident that the natural environment is the foundation of everything. With the importance of environmental conservation at an all-time high, companies are increasingly expected to coexist with the environment. The NKC Group is committed to protecting the natural environment and the future to be nurtured by it through focused efforts on conservation and reducing environmental impact.

Environmental management activities
The NKC Group operates an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on ISO14001. Under this EMS, we implement activities in line with our plans and follow the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) to achieve our environmental goals, conducting regular evaluations and reviews.
Through initiatives such as the Environmental Management Committee and environmental audits, we continuously strive to improve our environmental performance. -
Carbon neutrality
As the world faces the growing threat of climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2, has become an urgent global challenge. The NKC Group regards achieving carbon neutrality—reducing CO2 emissions to net zero—as a top priority and is taking concrete action to reduce emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.

Circular economy
The NKC Group has long been committed to reducing waste and making effective use of resources through the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Looking ahead, we are also considering a transition toward a circular economy that enhances resource circulation by taking into account the entire product life cycle. To minimize environmental impact, we are pursuing sustainable manufacturing practices, such as incorporating plant-based raw materials from the design stage of our products.

Harmony with nature and biodiversity
We are actively engaged in carbon offset initiatives that emphasize the conservation of biodiversity, promoting efforts that are closely linked to our pursuit of carbon neutrality.

In accordance with its Corporate Code of Conduct, the NKC Group is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its products, services, and all business activities, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through the preservation of the global environment.

- We promote environmental education and awareness to deepen recognition and understanding to environmental conservation.
- We work to prevent environmental pollution and reduce environmental impacts such as resource and energy consumption.
- We actively cooperate with and participate in environmental preservation activities conducted by national and local governments.
Environmental management structure
To put its Environmental Policy into practice, the NKC Group holds monthly Environmental Management Committee meetings at each production site in Japan and overseas to strengthen and enhance improvement activities. In addition, the Group convenes the Comprehensive Environmental Management Committee, chaired by the Chief of Comprehensive Environmental Management, on a regular basis to monitor the progress and achievement status of environmental initiatives at each site.
Distribution of Eco Cards
The NKC Group distributes Eco Cards to all employees as part of its efforts to raise environmental awareness.
