The NKC Group was founded in 1924 as Nakanishi Manufacturing, and in 2024 we were honored to mark our 100th anniversary. I would like to express my sincere gratitude once again to all those who have been involved with and supported our Company over the years.
Guided by our corporate philosophy of striving to remain a company that continues to evolve, where each employee can take pride in being part of it, we have long upheld a spirit of transformation and challenge while adhering to the NKC Group Code of Conduct. Since I assumed the role of Representative Director in 2009, we have continued to pursue new initiatives, including entering the automotive components business; launching next-generation material handling businesses such as automated warehouses and AGVs; and expanding into on-demand services that address home renovation and a wide range of residential needs. As the pace of change in society continues to accelerate, I firmly believe that continuing to pursue transformation and new endeavors without fear of failure is the only way for a company to remain essential to society and to coexist with it over the long term.
Another defining feature of our management approach is our deliberate decision not to pursue public listing, instead placing importance on a long-term and broad-based perspective. This stance underpins our commitment to sustainability management, which emphasizes coexistence with the global environment and local communities. In addition, as part of this approach, we will further strengthen our focus on well-being management by directly addressing employee happiness and enhancing the systems and environments that support it. This reflects our sincere wish that the employees who have chosen to work with us from among many companies will enjoy healthy and fulfilling lives, not only during their time with NKC but throughout their lives as a whole.
