Safety and Health Management Activities

At domestic production sites, internal safety audits based on the Occupational Safety and Health Management System are conducted once a year at each site. These audits aim to ensure strict compliance with laws, including the Industrial Safety and Health Act, and to improve safety and health standards through various educational programs. In KY (hazard prediction) activities, potential hazards are identified and countermeasures are implemented to prevent occupational accidents. Risk assessment activities aim to reduce latent risks associated with equipment, work processes, and handling of chemicals at production sites.

Overseas production sites also conduct the same year-round safety activities as domestic sites.
To further strengthen systems that prevent occupational accidents and to share information across domestic and overseas production sites, the Global Safety Conference (GSC) is held in Japan every few years. Safety personnel from each country apply the insights gained at the conference to their activities in their own countries.
Additionally, the Conveyor Division manages conveyor system construction not only in Japan but also in Europe, the US, and Asia. In Japan, contractors (partner companies) are also invited, and an annual safety conference is held.
In 2025, the 12th Global Safety Conference, which included participation from overseas sites and related personnel, featured practical programs such as hazard experience training.
Going forward, all stakeholders will continue to raise safety awareness together, transcending national and cultural differences.
